What goes into a successful resume?

A resume is technically the first meeting between you and a potential employer. It is extremely important that this meeting leaves the right type of first impression and one that represents you as a professional.

A resume needs to accent your abilities and skill set to show that you are able to successfully perform the duties in the position the potential employer is currently seeking to fill. Your resume should send a positive message about you and in essence represent you like a marketing tool which will motivate the employer to set an interview with you.

With thousands and thousands of resumes out there, how do you stand out? What can you do to make your resume the one that gets the interview? In the next sections you will learn what needs to be in your resume and what it takes to have a successful and professional resume at The Corporate Playbook.
