Financial Planning Focus
Mid American Financial Group provides financial planning services to individuals, families and businesses. Planning helps clients organize all aspects of their finances by identifying their financial goals, providing them with a written summary of their plan, and giving them the opportunity to implement the plan in accordance with their goals and our recommendations. Our work supplements and coordinates the services that our clients’ other advisors—CPA, attorney and others—provide. The degree of detail and sophistication of the financial planning services provided varies according to the individual client’s circumstances. The specific areas covered include one or more of the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and locate clients
  • Schedule appointments
  • Meet prospects to analyze their unique financial needs
  • Develop financial plans
  • Recommend/suggest specific, appropriate products
  • Continue to service current accounts

Training

We are committed to helping all of our Financial Services Representatives reach or exceed their personal goals. Whether you are joining us as an experienced representative or you are new to the financial services profession, training is available at an appropriate level to provide a springboard for your success. Your career path will consist of an ongoing program of training and development that supports you as you build your business.

 

You will work closely with your manager and have the opportunity to observe

Financial Services Representatives at work. Our classroom sessions will focus on the

competencies and activities that are key to your success in the financial services

industry. In addition, we will reinforce the concepts that you were introduced to

while preparing for your new career.

 

Continuous training and development

You will have continuous training and development opportunities throughout your career at Mid American Financial Group. We have the resources you need to advance within your career path, to explore opportunities in management or to focus your practice in specific areas such as Financial Planning, Estate Conservation Needs, or Retirement needs. Classes, self-study courses, graduate studies, and the attainment of professional designations are important parts of your ongoing training. We further demonstrate our support for your professional development by offering tuition reimbursement for certain industry-related courses. Mid American Financial Group’s training program will keep you on the cutting edge of our industry.



Job Requirements

You do not need a financial background to embark on a career in financial services. Rather, you should have a desire to help others, a genuine sense of caring, and a passion for learning. Success is based on the ability to be entrepreneurial and to build and nurture long-term relationships.

Qualifications

* Four-year college degree preferred

* Marketing and sales know-how
* Natural interpersonal communication skills
* Strong analytical abilities
* Self-confidence, persistence, initiative, persuasiveness to inspire others to action
* Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm for learning
* Required federal and state licenses and registrations for securities-Series 6, Series 63, and state Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses. If you are not licensed, you will have the opportunity to become fully licensed under Mid American Financial Group's sponsorship.

* Must be authorized to work in the United States
