| The principle responsibility of the Account Director will be to work with the client in managing its national and global sponsorship and sports media/marketing platforms, developing and executing strategic marketing programs with these properties, and assisting in the analysis and evaluation of these sponsorships. The sponsorship portfolio may include and is not limited to hockey, basketball, Olympics, and sports media partners. The Account Director will be based in the client's northern California offices. The Account Director will also assist in developing the client's sponsorship marketing strategy and coordinate among multifunctional teams to drive the integration of sponsorship activation across all relevant marketing disciplines. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, experience in developing marketing programs with technology companies, experience in leading and working with cross functional teams, sponsorship management experience with sports and media platforms, and event management and execution capabilities. |
Job Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties:
Support formulation and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategy
Manage and implement the client's marketing programs
Support client's internal multifunctional communications and programs
Manage key metrics and results as it relates to program measurement, ROI, in coordination with other agency partners.
Support analysis and evaluation of agreements for renewal/divestiture/acquisition decisions
Interface with rightsholders on behalf of the client as required
Coordinate creative, advertising and marketing programming as directed in support of the sponsorships
Manage monthly and other key meetings with internal and external constituents
Prepare presentations and other strategic documents on sponsorship programming
Serve as a point of contact with marketing, advertising, communications, sales, and other members of the client's key functional groups
Provide analysis and wrap-up reports of sponsorship programs and activities
Prepare memos, letters, presentations, budgets and Point-of-Venue documents and conference reports
Other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10+ years of related marketing experience with an agency, corporation or similar institution
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Marketing experience in technology partnerships
Experience in managing and executing sponsorship and related marketing programs
Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and management skills
Self-starter who will take initiative with new projects and will be proactive in communication and working with large teams.
Ability and flexibility to work long hours and travel as needed
Experience with ROI measurement tools and sponsorship evaluations
International sponsorship experience a plus
