Job Responsibilities: - Provide sound financial recommendations to insure financial security for clients, and possess the capability to move clients to take action and implement said recommendations.
- Act as an advocate for your clients; commitment to enhance, enrich and serve client base.
- Learn and implement existing client resource tools, and employ cutting edge financial strategies to grow and develop long lasting, value based client relationships.
- Professional Growth: Commitment to engage in a career long process of ongoing training and education to acquire above average skill and knowledge of all financial products and services where applicable to changing economic conditions and market shifts.
- Expand a business practice by use of effective prospecting and referral based strategies, as well as identifying and cultivating new client relationships within a targeted market niche.
- Learn best selling skills practices and/or willingness to improve/develop existing sales skills

- The POISE to weather the ups and downs of owning your own business (it takes 3-5 years to build any business, including this one)
- A SOCIABILITY that transcends stereotypes, yet is targeted to a specific client that you define
- An AUTHENTICITY that shows itself in your own belief in, and ownership of, the products and services you are providing

- Have or will secure a series 6, series 7, and series 63 as well as State Life and Health Exams
Benefits
As a Guardian Financial Representative, you are eligible for the following optional benefits: Medical coverage available at a reasonable cost, deducted from your salary on a pre-tax basis, plus a 100% cost sharing program of medical and dental benefits for all agents meeting certain production requirements. Short-Term Disability based on your length of service (from 60% to 100% of your salary) at no cost to you. Long-Term Disability for representatives under contract for at least one year. Dental Benefits for representatives under contract for at least two years, at a reasonable cost deducted from your salary on a pre-tax basis. These benefits include preventative care as well as other major services.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment for those representatives participating in a Guardian health plan, with coverage equal to your Guardian group life insurance up to $50,000.
Flexible Spending Account to allow tax-free payment of certain IRS eligible expenses, effective January 1 following your date of contract.
Cooperative Investment Plan, a retirement savings plan with pre-tax [401(k)] and after-tax [401(a)] contribution alternatives that provide tax-deferred cash accumulations for your retirement. Guardian also contributes an annual match on your behalf.
Non-Contributory Pension Plan in addition to the participatory Cooperative Investment Plan, at no cost to you and with a fast vesting schedule, after only five years of qualified service.
Wealth Accumulation Plan (WAP), Guardian's non-qualified supplemental retirement plan for our high-producing career agents, offers the potential for millions of dollars in appreciation for an outstanding career, above and beyond your pension, 401(k), post-retirement renewals and lifetime service fees.
Vision coverage, which representatives can enroll for annually.
Group Long-Term Care, a plan designed specifically to cover the costs associated with extended long-term care services for people who are unable to care for themselves. These services include assistance in the home with day-to-day activities, as well as services in a community-based setting such as adult day care, an assisted living facility or a nursing home.
Life Insurance coverage for representatives is available from the first day of the representative's contract with Guardian.
