What happens when I apply to a job on the site?
Upon application for an open position that has been posted on the site, your profile and resume will be sent directly to the employer/recruiter for review. If your profile is of interest to the job poster, you will be contacted directly from the employer/recruiter via phone, email, or directly on the site for additional communication opportunities and to schedule an interview.
I already have a resume in a word document; do I have to fill out one on the site?
Yes. In order to complete your profile and provide complete information to prospecting employers and recruiters, the online form for your resume must be filled out completely so the employer/recruiter can view or print out your resume.
My school doesn't have a profile set up yet, what can I do get them one?
You may share The Corporate Playbook's
information with your school's coaches and administrators
so they can sign up and take advantage of the many resources
provided for your school or you can email us at suggestions@thecorporateplaybook.com in order to have us contact the school on your behalf for
participation.
When/Where are the next career fairs in my area?
The Corporate Playbook continues to add new career fair opportunities for the numerous athletes and employers on our site. New fairs are posted on the homepage under "News and Events" as well as bulletins are posted for athletes and employers within each region as the fairs are set up with information on where they are being held in advance for successful participation.
I graduated with an undergraduate degree and I am interested in an advanced degree program, what can I do?
The Corporate Playbook has national partnerships with several different advanced degree programs including Law Schools, MBA programs, as well as online opportunities based on your time frames and specific needs.
Do I have to have a degree in a certain field in order to apply for a posted job?
Although there are certain job postings and employers that are looking for specific degrees, most of our employers and recruiters are looking for athletes because of the intangible skills and traits that were developed on the field of play.
How much does it cost to sign up?
As a current or alumni athlete, there is no charge for the services provided to you through The Corporate Playbook. There is a nominal fee applied for employers and recruiters depending on the level of interest and sponsorship opportunities.
